How many posts do you need?
TensaBarrier posts come in two belt lengths: 7½' (STD) or 13' (MAX).
You need to keep at least 6 inches of slack in the post. (Otherwise, the
post begins to tip as soon as pressure is applied to the belt.) This leaves
effective maximum lengths of 7' (STD) and 12½' (MAX).
Our Recommendation
Gallery Posts should be place about three feet from the car(farther with
taller posts) to avoid the risk of a post being tipped over against a car.
Using 13 ft. belts will leave plenty of extra belt length inside the post.
This reduces the chance of tipping over a post by pulling or stepping on
the belt.
